    We are pleased to inform that, we have successfully Started the 07th course on Project Management Professional (PMP) of our CPD Program in December 2018. The course commenced on 11thof December 2018 and will conclude on 12thof March 2019.This CPD Programme is conducted by Mr. Shanaka de Silva

    (Bsc MIS, MBA, MSC, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM / Executive Vice President – PMI Colombo, Sri Lanka Chapter/Director – Ernst & Young)

     

    The main objectives of the training programme are,

     

    • Engineers who practice Project Management to be in line with the globally accepted frameworks.
    • Awareness of best practices/ latest developments in Project Management discipline.
    • Upgrade the knowledge of members on the universal “Body of Knowledge” – PMBOK (Ed. 6).
    • Enable the engineers to acquire the necessary competences for the effective application of knowledge in the workplace.

     

     

    There are 120 participants partaking for the Project Management Professional (PMP) CPD Programme. IESL would like to thank the pool of Resource persons, CPD Committee and IESL CPD staff of Education Division for their exertion in conducting this course.

    Extra Low Voltage (ELV) CPD programme was successfully concluded in January 2019.This was the 5th consecutive session of ELV CPD programme. It was successfully conducted from 10th of November 2018 to 12th of January 2019.The CPD programme was steered by a pool of competent professional resource persons, namely


    ·  Eng. Samantha Gunawardana

    ·  Eng. Jagathlal Wickramasekara

    ·  Eng. Thilina Chandrasiri

    ·  Eng. Niranjan Boteju

    ·  Eng. Sampath Kumara


    The main objective of the training programme was toenhance the knowledge of ELV applications and their practical usage. Course was comprised of worked practical examples thereby providing knowledge on design criteria.


    60 participants of the Extra Low Voltage (ELV) CPD Programme were acknowledged upon successfully completing the course. IESL would like to thank the pool of Resource persons, CPD Committee, participants and IESL CPD staff of Education Division for making this CPD Programme a Success.

    Building Management Systems (BMS) CPD programme was successfully completed in January 2019. It was the 3rd consecutive session of BMS CPD programme. The course commenced on 11th of November 2018 and concluded on 13th of January 2019.This CPD Programme was conducted by experts in their respective fields led by Eng. Jagathlal  Wickramasekara.


    The main objective of the training programme was to enhance the knowledge on BMS applications and their practical usage. Course was comprised with worked practical examples thereby gaining knowledge on design criteria.


    There were 56 participants partaken for the Building Management Systems CPD Programme. IESL would like to thank the pool of Resource persons, CPD Committee and IESL CPD staff of Education Division for this achievement.

    We are pleased to inform that, we have successfully started the 03rd courses on Six Sigma Training of our CPD Programme in July 2018.There are two categories.


    -       Six Sigma Green Belt

    -       Six Sigma Yellow Belt


    Six Sigma Green Belt was successfully conducted from 26th of July 2018 to 01st of September 2018 & Six Sigma Yellow Belt was successfully conducted from 26th of July 2018 to 04th of August 2018.This CPD Programme was led by Eng. Tharaka Dayabandara.

    (Sig Sigma Master Six Belt)


    The main objective of the training programme is to expose young engineers to basics of Six Sigma, to enable them to develop and manage measurement-based strategy, which focuses on process improvement and variation reduction through the application of Six Sigma knowledge. Also it could develop skills of factual decision making based on evidence of data in making solid improvements. Further, following were among the key objectives of the programme


    • To provide awareness about Six Sigma Methodology. 

    • To enable the engineers to acquire the competences for effective application of six sigma tools in the workplace.

    • To improve communication or management skills of engineers etc.


    There were 24 participants partaken for the Six Sigma Training CPD Programme. We would like to thank the pool of Resource persons, CPD Committee and IESL CPD staff of Education Division for making this CPD Programme a Success.

    We are pleased to inform that, we have successfully Started the 23rd course on Design of Electrical Installation of our CPD Program in August 2018.It is being successfully conducted since 11th of August 2018 and will go on up to 06th of October 2018.This CPD Programme is conducted by a pool of resource persons;

    (Dr. Asanka Rodrigo, Eng. Pathum Jayawardena, Eng. R I Senaratne, Eng. D S R Alahakoon, Eng. D G R Fernando, Eng. Frank Fernando, Eng. K S S Kumara, Eng. Anuruddha Thilakarathne )


    The main objective of the training programme is to improve the understanding and knowledge of the participants to design, install, inspect, test and maintain electrical installations. Also the Design of Electrical Installation CPD programme is to help electrical engineers and electrical field personal to enhance the knowledge, improve the practices and experience regarding electrical side and how to react to all the problems in electrical field of the organization and so on.


    There are 170 participants participating for the Design of Electrical Installation CPD Programme. We would like to thank the pool of Resource persons, CPD Committee and IESL CPD staff of Education Division for making this CPD Programme a Success.

    We are pleased to inform that, we have successfully started the 11th Course on “Air-Condition System Design”  of our CPD Program in August 2018.It is being successfully conducted since 5th of August and will go on up to 07th of October 2018.This CPD Programme is conducted by a Pool of resource persons.(Eng.Chandana  Dalugoda, Eng.Sanjaya Ramanayake, Eng.Chandrasiri Wickramasinghe.)


    The main objective of the training programme is to improve and update the members on the current knowledge in an Air conditioning System Design and enable engineers to acquire the necessary competences for the effective application of knowledge in the workplace.


    There are 105 participants participating for Air Condition System Design CPD Programme. We would like to thank the pool of Resource persons, CPD Committee and IESL CPD staff of Education Division for making this CPD Programme a Success.
